Geoff Riggs R.I.P.

Geoff RiggsIt is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of Geoff Riggs on Sunday 12th June 2011.

Geoff was the Liaison Officer of the Gwent Family History Society recently and has been the Chairman of the society along with both Newport and Blackwood branches in the past. He was the person that designed and built both this and the previous web site along with many others in the field of family history. He was Chairman of the Federation of Family History Societies along with the Association of Family History Societies of Wales and also Vice Chairman of the Guild of One Name Studies as well. He will be greatly missed in our society.
